Atlanta, GA – February 5, 2025 – All Cops Ain’t Bad, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building trust and fostering positive relationships between law enforcement and local communities, is seeking support from the Atlanta Braves Foundation to continue its mission of promoting racial equity, social justice, and systemic change through comedy and outreach programs.
Founded in 2020, All Cops Ain’t Bad leverages the power of humor to address serious issues such as police reform, community safety, and racial justice. The organization uses comedy shows, workshops, and community engagement to create meaningful dialogue between law enforcement officers and the public, particularly in underserved communities where trust-building with police is most needed.
The mission of the Atlanta Braves Foundation is to build community through baseball, engaging Braves Country, reaching vulnerable populations, and improving equity and access in sport, health, education, and well-being outcomes for children, families, and communities. In 2019, the Atlanta Braves defined and committed to aligning their community engagement and social responsibility efforts with a programmatic focus in five key areas:
- Youth Sports Development
- Health and Wellness
- Education and Workforce Development
- Veteran’s Services
- Community Impact
“We are reaching out to the Atlanta Braves Foundation because we believe in the power of sports and community engagement to create positive change,” said David Simon, Program Director of All Cops Ain’t Bad. “By partnering with the Braves Foundation, we hope to expand our programs and continue to build bridges between law enforcement and the communities they serve. This partnership will not only strengthen our initiatives but will also highlight the importance of unity, understanding, and collaboration in creating lasting social change.”
The support from the Atlanta Braves Foundation would help fund a series of outreach events, including comedy shows, educational workshops, and community gatherings that aim to foster empathy, understanding, and respect between police officers and the communities they serve. These events will focus on promoting nonviolent communication, tackling stereotypes, and inspiring positive change in the way law enforcement and communities interact.
All Cops Ain’t Bad is committed to making a lasting impact in communities across the nation by using humor as a tool for healing, education, and change. The organization is excited about the potential of working with the Atlanta Braves Foundation to further its mission and contribute to a stronger, more unified community.
